Anniversaries for March 18

Reeves 60th

Harold and Margery (Galvin) Reeves celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last Saturday evening at the Thorntown Public Library. Joining them were their five children with their spouses, LeRoy, Jane and Phil, Joan and Byron, Nancy and Jay, and Wayne. Also joining them were six of their nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The meal was catered by Country Garden.

Harold and Margery were married March 12, 1950, at the home of the late Rev. J.C. Coons.

Harold retired in 1982 as a letter carrier with the Thorntown Post Office, after 35 years of service. He is active in the Thorntown Kiwanis.

Margery is now a homemaker, having retired after 17 years as a cook with Thorntown School. She is active in the Thorntown United Methodist Women.

Both are active in the Thorntown United Methodist Church.

Harold and Margery wish to thank everyone for the calls, cards and good wishes.
