Anniversaries for Aug. 27

Mackey 50th

Willie and Barbara Mackey will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house, hosted by their children, from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Advance Community Church, 2675 S. Ind. 75, Advance.

The Mackeys were married in Indianapolis by the Rev. Batman.

The couple’s children are Lisa Walker, Shellie (Chris) Bryan and Kellie (Timmy) Blann. They have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Willie is retired from Wood-Mizer and Barbara is retired from Raybestos.

Friends and family are invited to join in the celebration, but the couple requests that gifts be omitted.



Battcher 60th

John and Eileen Battcher of Lebanon will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house at the home of Judy and Scott Champod, 516 S. West St., Lebanon, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11.

Mr. John Battcher and the former Eileen Cutshall were married Sept. 11, 1949, at East Tenth Methodist Church in Indianapolis.

The couple have three sons, John Paul (Rebecca) Battcher of Lebanon, Jeff (Andrea) Battcher of Thorntown and Joe (Alice) Battcher of Plant City, Fla., and one daughter, Judy (Scott) Champod of Lebanon. They have four grandchildren, Christopher and Tiffany Battcher of Plant City and Jake and Jesse Battcher of Thorntown.

Mr. Battcher is retired from the Indiana Bell Telephone Company. Mrs. Battcher is a homemaker.

The couple would like to invite all family and friends to their celebration, but requests that gifts be omitted. Cards are welcome.
