Anniversaries for Dec. 3

Sanders 50th

Bob and Donna (Richardson) Sanders of Lebanon will celebrate 50 years of marriage on Dec. 20, 2009.

The couple were married Dec. 20, 1959, at the Sheridan United Methodist Church in Sheridan.

Mr. Sanders retired in 1992 after 29 years with GM.

Mrs. Sanders taught first grade for 26 years in Lafayette, Thorntown and Union Township, before retiring in 1993.

The couple have lived in Boone County for 46 years.

Family members who celebrated the anniversary on a Caribbean cruise include Sheryl (David) Cassis, Masin and Lucie. Also joining in the celebration were Scott (Michelle) Sanders, Justin, Nick, Donovan, Joe, Jayden and Julia.

Richardson 30th

Rodney and Shirley (Polley) Richardson of Lebanon celebrated 30 years of marriage with a surprise reception on Nov. 28 at the Elks. The reception was hosted by Rodney’s siblings and children.

The couple were married Dec. 1, 1979, at Browns Wonder, with the Rev. Huntsinger officiating.

Their children are Ryan Richardson, Abbey Richardson and Julie Benavides, all of Lebanon. The couple have five grandchildren.

Rodney works in real estate and sales. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion, Eagles and Boone County Shrine.

Shirley works as a dental hygienist. She is a member of Tri Kappa.

The Richardsons are lifelong Boone County residents.
