  Ryan Laney won $500 for the Boone County Cancer Society in the 2010 Fair Factor Gives Back event. He chose to represent BCCS because his mother had breast cancer and he has other family ties to the organization.

John and Jean Shelburne

John and Jean (Haughey) Shelburne of Lebanon celebrated 50 years of marriage on Dec. 23.

The couple was married Dec. 23, 1959, in Sheridan.

They have four children: Kathy Lee of Lebanon, Kent (Pam) Shelburne of Lafayette, Karla Peebles of Lebanon, and Kyle (Michelle) Shelburne of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren andseven great-grandchildren.

The couple has lived in Boone County for more than 40 years and enjoys traveling and being with friends.
