Harris 50th

Jerry and Sharon (Wright) Harris will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house Sunday hosted by their children.

The couple was married Oct. 7, 1961, at Salem Lutheran Church in New Augusta, Ind.

Jerry retired from Chrysler Corp., where he worked as a security officer and fire marshal. He is currently the Boone County coroner.

Sharon retired from St. Vincent Hospital where she was a staff nurse. She currently works for the coroner’s office as well.

They are the parents of Mark Harris of Brownsburg, and Ann Bredensteiner of Westfield.

The children and their spouses, Kim Harris and Kurt Bredensteiner, are hosting the open house from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 9, at Zionsville United Methodist Church. They ask that family and friends join in the celebration.

At their request, cards are welcome but no gifts, as “the blessing of friends and family are the gift.”
