Earl and Gaylon (Burgin) Bowen of Lebanon will celebrate 60 years of marriage on March 14, with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Annex at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds. The reception will be hosted by their daughters.
The Bowens were married March 12, 1950, at the Methodist Parsonage.
The couple’s children are Lisa (Rick) Ping of Jamestown and Kathy (Phil) Staton of Lebanon. They have six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bowen farmed and worked for Dow Chemical. He retired in 1991.
Mrs. Bowen worked at Farm Bureau Co-Op, sold Avon and is a homemaker. She is a member of the Perry Homemakers.

Dr. Sam and Judith Young will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 24, 2011. They were married Dec. 24, 1961, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Lebanon, by the now-deceased Rev. Paul W. McFarland.
