Richard and Patsy (Glendenning) Staton of Lebanon will celebrate 60 years of marriage with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at the home of their daughter, Becky Ottinger and her husband Gary, 200 Laughner St., Whitestown. The couple’s three daughters are hosting the event.

The Statons were married Sept. 1, 1950. The Rev. Byrd officiated the wedding at his home.

The couple’s children are Vickie Smith, Becky Ottinger and Tonya Staton. They have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Staton retired from Dow, Pitman Moore Division. He is a member of the Antique Tractor Club and enjoys gardening, fishing and hunting.

Mrs. Staton worked in food service and is retired. She is a member of Senior Citizens and three card clubs. She and Mr. Staton both enjoy their family.

Mr. and Mrs. Staton have lived in Lebanon for three years and Boone County for 79 years.
