Egyptian night
Judy Mrozinski shows her granddaughter Lilly, a kindergartner at Central Elementary, where Egypt and Germany — where her mom is from — are on a globe Wednesday evening at Central’s Egypt family art night. Employees from the Indianapolis Children’s Museum brought artifacts and art stations from their Egyptian exhibit to share with the Central students, like Egyptian spices, drums and jewelry. “The kids get to touch things actually from Egypt, experience things,” said Central art teacher Nicole Lewis, who organized the event. She teaches several grades Egyptian art and culture.
