Car plunges into pond near Zionsville

Zionsville — A woman was taken to Clarian North Hospital Monday morning, Nov. 2, after her vehicle plunged into a pond on Weston Point Drive and U.S. 421.

She was saved by Zionsville resident Fred Robbins, who was able to shatter the window on the vehicle and pull the woman from it. Toni Sheehy of Carmel initially witnessed the car drive into the pond and flagged down Robbins.

Police do not know what caused the woman's vehicle to drive into the pond. The identity of the women has yet to be released.
