VIDEO: Alleged vandal arrested, caught on camera

Sandra K. Harlan, 47, Lebanon, was arrested Wednesday, charged with a spray-painting spree that damaged the historic Boone County Courthouse; the Lebanon Public Library, and other buildings. Police estimated the damage at between $4,500 and at least $17,500. Police have also released surveillance video that caught the vandal in the act.

“We will absolutely be requesting restitution including cleaning and replacement,” Prosecutor Todd Meyer said. Harlan, 1300 block of Brooke Drive, allegedly went on her spraying spree Friday night and Saturday morning. Causing damage totaling more than $2,500 is a class A felony; damage more than $250 but less than $2,500 is a class A misdemeanor; damage less than $250 is a class B misdemeanor.
