Lebanon — Ryan Laney won $500 for the Boone County Cancer Society in the 2010 Fair Factor Gives Back event. He chose to represent BCCS because his mother had breast cancer and he has other family ties to the organization.
"We are pleased to be able to support one of our local organizations and have a lot of fun at the same time," said Reporter publisher Greta Sanderson, who organized the event. "All of our contestants were good sports, and our community is fortunate to have so many great organizations."
Crystal Bolen, representing Riley Hospital for Children, captured second, followed by Brandon Beesley for the Advance Volunteer Fire Department and Nathan Reagan for the Eagles Auxilary.
Dustin Cox for the Army National Guard became the next contestant eliminated in Fair Factor competition Wednesday.
Willie Morris for the Countryside Christian Fellowship scholarship program and Mary Walkup for Essex Nursing and Rehab began Fair Factor Monday, but weren't fast enough time to qualify.
Kristi Reynolds of Behavior Corp, Tiffany Perdue of the Community Foundation of Boone County Cody Shultz for Freedom Church and Chery Goodwin of the Lebanon Educational Foundation didn't complete the first challenge.
