Park board president resigns after arrest

Lebanon —  

Derek Warren, 35, has resigned as president of the Lebanon Park Board following his arrest early Sunday morning on misdemeanor alcohol and drug charges.

After a hearing Tuesday in Boone Superior Court II, Warren was formally charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person; operating a vehicle with an alcohol content equivalent of .08 or more; operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in the body; possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and public intoxication. The most serious charges are class A misdemeanors, with a sentencing range of up to one year in jail. His trial is scheduled for Oct. 22
