Task force arrests 7 in Zionsville raid

Zionsville — The Hamilton/Boone County Drug Task Force arrested seven people at 6800 Wood Haven Place, Zionsville, Thursday after a tip and a two month investigation.

Task Force Spokeswoman Marie L. Doan said officers recovered approximately 3 ounces of “high grade” marijuana, prescription pills (Xanax), drug paraphernalia and the remnants of a suspected marijuana grow operation.

During the execution of the search warrant, a male juvenile, age 17, tried to avoid arrest by jumping out a second story window. After receiving medical treatment for minor injuries, he was transported to a juvenile detention center in Delaware County via the Boone County Jail. The other two juveniles were released to parents from the Zionsville Police Department.

The Lebanon High School auditorium does not exist any longer, Lebanon schools’ Director of Resource and Operation Bob Ross told the school board Tuesday.
“It’s empty, a hollow shell,” he said at Tuesday’s board meeting. “The last of the seats were taken out today.”
