Hill wethers contest

Lebanon — Thirteen-year-old Jacy Hill has put in a lot of work in the weeks leading up to the Boone County Fair. Among her eight projects this year, Jacy was showing three meat goats, and in preparation for the Boone County 4-H meat goat show she took the goats to open shows at other county fairs. She said the other fairs helped her address the weaknesses of her wethers, and learn how to play to their strengths.

And by the time she walked them into the Boone County show arena Monday morning, Hill was prepared.

“All the work really paid off,” she said.
