Thorntown man jailed on 5 charges of child molesting

Lebanon — Police have accused a Thorntown man of performing sexual acts with a 13-year-old.

Jessie L. Cummings, 20, 600 block of West Plum Street, faces two class B felony and three class C felony charges of child molesting following his arrest Wednesday by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

The incidents are alleged to have occured between March 15-23 this year, and between May 1 and Sept. 1, 2011, when the victim was 12.

The Lebanon High School auditorium was taken apart Tuesday in preparation for a renovated auditorium, part of the school’s renovation project.

Big projects nearing completion at LHS

The Lebanon High School auditorium does not exist any longer, Lebanon schools’ Director of Resource and Operation Bob Ross told the school board Tuesday.
“It’s empty, a hollow shell,” he said at Tuesday’s board meeting. “The last of the seats were taken out today.”
