Boone County —
Boone County was hailed as a great place to live, work and raise a family Monday night at the 2012 Boone County Chamber of Commerce’s annual civic banquet at Palomino Ballroom, and 13 people were recognized as the foundation of that excellence.
“I am blessed to live and work in such a wonderful community, and tonight I join with you to celebrate the best this county has to offer,” said Rick Elsbury of Edward Jones, which presented the awards banquet. “Your acts of service and commitment to others have made a difference.”
Some where shocked beyond words at the announcement of their names as award winners. Many were honored by standing ovations.
Judy Psikula fit both of those categories after she was named the health care professional of the year by Witham President and CEO, Ray Ingham.
