Zionsville — A worldwide medical device manufacturer will close their 200-person facility in Zionsville.
Hologic, Inc. told employees Tuesday that the company is relocating their operations to other Hologic facilities in three phases over the next 18 months, said company spokesman Jim Culley. The business is operated out of a 50,000-square-foot facility in the Northwest Technology Center, at 96th Street and Zionsville Road.
“We announced the phasing out of the facility in advance of the 2014 final closure date out of respect for our employees and their families and the Indianapolis community,” Culley said.
He said employees are being offered severance packages, and some employees will be offered the opportunity to relocate.
