County councilman on long journey to recovery

Zionsville — Many Zionsville Community Schools students and faculty members spent their summer break traveling, but, as summer break winds down, no journey has been as long as David Rodgers’.

The Zionsville Community High School government teacher and Boone County councilman was involved in a serious bicycling accident May 23, and has been recovering ever since.

“I remember getting back on the trail during my lunch break, and that’s it,” Rodgers said. “The next thing I remember was waking up two days later in the hospital.”
