Pre-schoolers Brooklyn Boss, left, and Cara Hanna dance the Tooty Ta during Thorntown Elementary School's Dancing with the Grandparents-themed grandparents' day Friday. Making a face is part of the dance. Each class performed a dance, and sometimes grandparents in the crowd joined in. Dances included the Hokey Pokey, the Chicken Dance, a square dance, the Cupid Shuffle, a Hebrew dance and the Twist.

‘Stamp Out Hunger’ drive deemed a success

Three Boone County law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty will be among those honored Wednesday during local observance of National Peace Officer’s Memorial Day.
