Whitestown — One woman is dead after being first struck by the one-tone stake truck in background, about 7:45 a.m. Monday on Interstate 65 just south of the Indiana 267 interchange. Among offercers responded were Boone County Sheriff’s Office Major Mike Nielsen (left) and Capt. Tony Harris (right). The initial report was taken by the Whitestown Police Department; WPD Chief Dennis Anderson said two persons in another vehicle were taken to area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries. Additional details were being gathered at press time.

Lebanon fire leaves man in critical condition
Lebanon Fire and Boone County Sheriff's Office personnel investigated a 1 a.m. Wednesday house fire that caused critical injuries to one occupant.
Shawn Lambert, 45, Lebanon, is in critical condition at Wishard Hospital with burns and respiratory injuries he suffered in a 1 a.m. Wednesday house fire at 519 E. Noble St., Lebanon.
