Boone County — Replacing the crumbling Ford Road bridge over Eagle Creek will not be done with a 1940s-era steel truss bridge salvaged from a state highway near Shelbyville.
Tuesday, the Boone County Council voted 6-0 to “defund” installation of the bridge, transferring $116,000 out of an account that was being used to pay for the project.
