Whitestown begins revitalization plan

Whitestown — Whitestown officials hope the historic downtown area will become a place to promote business, but now it houses several empty storefronts.

The Town of Whitestown was awarded a $50,000 planning grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs to prepare a plan to improve the downtown area.

Town Planner Deb Luzier and Scott Siefker, a principal planner with Taylor Siefker Williams design group who is aiding the town with the project, held an open meeting Wednesday afternoon to gain feedback from residents.
