The Lebanon Fire Department is beginning the process of filling a battalion chief position vacated by Robert Wirey, who was promoted to chief of the training and investigation divisions.
Lebanon Fire Chief Jason Lee announced the news at Monday’s board of works meeting. The department also hired a reserve firefighter, Jason Adams, in December after another firefighter resigned. Lee said that as firefighters rearrange positions to fill the vacated battalion chief position, they will need to hire another reserve. And one other firefighter may retire in May, requiring one more reserve to be hired.
