LHS construction may be completed ahead of schedule

Lebanon — The construction project at Lebanon High School may finish three months ahead of schedule — this October — if all goes well until then, Bob Ross, assistant superintendent and executive director of resource and operation, announced at Tuesday’s school board meeting.

“The earlier you finish, the more you cut your expenses,” Ross said. “It’s pretty amazing. I have no reason to not believe we will be on this schedule, and I think they are doing whatever it takes.”

Local peace officer program is Wednesday

Three Boone County law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty will be among those honored Wednesday during local observance of National Peace Officer’s Memorial Day.
The program is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on the north steps of the Boone County Courthouse in downtown Lebanon. In the event of bad weather, the program will be held in the courthouse rotunda.
