Members of the Boone County Chamber of Commerce gathered with representatives of service organizations, business and government Monday to hand out more than a dozen awards to deserving members of the community.
The chamber’s annual civic banquet was held at the Palomino Ballroom, with comedian Dave “The King” Wilson serving as master of ceremonies.
Wilson told jokes, introduced presenters and called winning raffle numbers throughout the evening.
As in past years, award presenters did their best to keep honorees in the dark about their award until the last moment.
