Traders Point church work halted by surveyor

Whitestown —

Earth moving for new parking and bridges over Green Ditch at Traders Point Christian Church, Whitestown, has been stopped by the Boone County Drainage Board until the church receives clearance and permits from local and state agencies.

A contractor had begun excavation for those projects, and a detention pond, without obtaining the required permits from the county, Whitestown, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, County Surveyor Ken Hedge said.

Suspect escapes after Zionsville carjacking
