Man found in burning hotel charged with burglary, theft

Lebanon — Investigators have a person of interest, and are looking for a suspect, in an arson fire Tuesday evening at the former Quality Inn on Indiana 39 S in Lebanon.

Jason D. Jones, 62, 441 W. Elm St., Lebanon, was charged with burglary and theft after police found him walking out of the building, according to a police report filed by LPD Patrolman Kevin Allen.

Investigators determined the fire was deliberately set, but Jones is not considered a suspect in that crime, Lebanon Fire Chief Jason Lee said.
