A computer mapping error inaccurately placed the site of a Feb. 25 triple homicide in Whitestown.
But the one-story ranch home at 101 Hull St. where Alejandro Chamorro Sr., 51; Alejandro Chamorro, Jr., 19, and Judy Schindler, 55, were found stabbed to death has never been legally annexed by the town.
That technicality won’t affect the murder case against Barney Jose Chamorro, 19, Boone County Prosecutor Todd Meyer said Friday. Chamorro was arrested Feb. 27 in Texas, after the bodies were found. He faces a June 15 trial on murder and other charges.
“Once the case was filed, it becomes a prosecutor’s case; so, it really doesn’t matter, within what corporate limit the crime occurred,” Meyer said.
