Man charged with attacking two women

Dwayne A. Frye, 29, rural Lebanon, faces a May 19 trial in Boone Superior Court II on charges he attacked his wife and mother-in-law with a cordless electric drill.

Frye’s wife had a minor cut on her forehead; her mother was struck on the hand, said Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Burcham.

Deputies were first called to Frye’s home in the 4800 block of N. County Road 350 West about 6:10 a.m. Thursday, in what Burcham said was a verbal dispute.

About two hours later, police returned after a caller complained Frye had hit her in the head, and she was bleeding.

Deputy R.T. Krise arrested Frye on a preliminary charge of battery. He was also charged with domestic battery.
