Dover —
The Western Boone Community School Corporation board recognized three people stepping down from their positions at the end of this year at Monday’s school board meeting.
Board President Jane Faggetti will retire from the board after 12 years of service, said WeBo Superintendent Dr. Judi Hendrix. Faggetti has been on the board since July 2000, and has served as president for six years.
“We are where we are because of our leadership, and it starts with this board,” Hendrix said. “I will truly miss Jane as president. She’s done a wonderful job.”
Hendrix also recognized board member Bruce Guernsey for his eight years of service on the school board. Guernsey joined the board in July 2004, and Hendrix wasn’t quite sure how it would pan out. She and Guernsey were childhood friends.
