The Caring Center readies for meals, teen gift shopping

Lebanon — It would be extremely helpful, Theresa Hanners said, if the weather would turn cold soon.

Holiday-season contributions to the food pantry increase when the temperature has a bite, said the executive director of The Caring Center in Lebanon.

“It’s been too warm,” she said and donations fall.

The Caring Center, 1230 Ransdell Court, Lebanon, provides food, clothing, household necessities and other items to needy families.

For Christmas meals, donations of turkeys, hams and the traditional side dishes are being sought — with one exception.
