Lebanon —
Cameron Hudson and Bailey Peycha lean in to eavesdrop on a conversation during a dress rehearsal Tuesday for Lebanon High School’s production of “Noises Off,” which opens tonight. The play is a comedy based on the original, written by Michael Frayn in 1982. It is a play within a play, said Director Rachel Becker. The first act takes place during the play’s last rehearsal, the second act is backstage during a Sunday matinée, and the third act is the last performance. Becker said she likes to do shows that are a challenge both for the audience and the students.
“This is a very demanding show for the students,” she said. “It’s a mental workout, as some are speaking half the time in a British accent. And it’s just so enjoyable for the audience.”
Shows are at 7 p.m. tonight and Friday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $7 for adults or $5 for students and seniors.
