Lebanon —
Lebanon’s perfect season is no more.
After rising to the No. 4 spot in the Class 3A state poll with a 6-0 start Lebanon’s bid for an undefeated campaign came crashing down with a near disastrous fourth quarter.
The Tigers led Brebeuf by 15 after Cord Barricklow scored 12 seconds into the final period, but were outscored 28-8 the rest of the way as the Braves came from behind for a 58-53 victory.
“If you look at the stat sheet 22 turnovers is the key to the game,” Lebanon coach Albert Hendrix said. “They got back in the basketball game because we turned the ball over 22 times. Against good teams you’re not going to win basketball games when you turn the ball over 22 times, 14 in the second half.”
Lebanon appeared to be in firm control as the Tigers led throughout and were only tied 2-2 before pulling out to a 28-12 lead at halftime.
