Dover —
The Lebanon and Western Boone swimming and diving teams hit the water for their annual dual meet Thursday night.
The two teams split the meet, with the Lebanon girls winning 134-52 and the Western Boone boys winning 115-70.
“I was pretty happy with the way we swam,” Lebanon head coach Michael Dollens said. “Our girls, we didn’t have too many lifetime bests, but we were swimming pretty close to our sectional lineup and they were right by their best times. With a week to go, we are going to get rested, get excited, and show up at (the) Zionsville (sectional) ready to swim our best.”
Western Boone head coach Jennifer Jones also liked the way her team swam.
“I think they swam really well,” Jones said. “They were pumped up for this meet. It was a good high intensity meet.”
Kailyn Stogsdill led the Lady Tigersharks with four victories.
She was part of three winning relays. In the 200-yard medley relay, she teamed with Gabi Reese, Shannon Jones and Morgan Glendenning to win in a time of 2:04.85.
