West Lafayette —
The Class 3A No. 3 Lebanon Lady Tigers will be carrying some momentum into Friday night’s rivalry game against Western Boone.
The Tigers won their second-straight game and their fourth against a 4A school in the early season, 64-40 against Harrison.
“It was a tough game for us,” Lebanon head coach Beth DeVinney said. “We had a day off coming into the game and to go on the road for a Tuesday night game isn’t easy. We started a little slow but got a little press going in the second quarter and put together a nice quarter to go up 20 at halftime.”
The Tigers led 17-9 after a quarter, but out-scored the Raiders 23-11 in the second quarter to put the game away.
“We had a lot of kids step up,” DeVinney said. “We shot free throws better today and we are starting to have different parts coming together at the same time.”
Kirsten Spolyar led the Tigers with 19 points, 10 steals and seven rebounds.
Carly Greene added 13 points, nine rebounds and five steals.
Seniors Katie Curtis and Aspen Davis were both in double figures, scoring 13 and 11 points respectively.
