Early goals pace Tigers past Stars

Lebanon —

The Lebanon boys soccer team came out ready to play Thursday against rival Western Boone.

Unfortunately for the Stars, they did not. Lebanon scored 50 seconds into the match and added two more first-half tallies in a 3-1 victory against their cross-county rivals.

“I wish we played the second half as good as we played the first,” Lebanon head coach Ryan Tucker said. “I was pretty impressed with our first half. The guys came out fired up, and had their breast cancer socks and bands on; they were raring to go. But our second half was poor.”

Lebanon’s Will Mock opened up the scoring with a first-minute goal.
