Crawfordsville — The Lebanon girls soccer team had a week to think about its first loss of the season to Cardinal Ritter.
Against Crawfordsville Wednesday, the Tigers made sure no losing streak would occur. Katie Curtis scored three goals and Lebanon defeated Crawfordsville 5-1 to improve in 3-1 and 2-0 in the Sagamore Conference.
“We didn’t play so well against Ritter, and we have been focusing since then about fixing problems and maintaining our discipline and focus on the field,” Lebanon head coach Rachel Becker said. “The girls did everything we have been working on and put it all together tonight. I am really pleased with that.”
Leading 2-1 at halftime, Lebanon scored three goals in the first 19 minutes of the second half to put the game away.
Lebanon’s Alexis Kersey scores on a shot in the second half in the Tigers’ victory against the Athenians Wednesday night in Crawfordsville.
