Jamestown — Cynthia “Cindy” L. Smart, 50, of Jamestown, died Saturday, July 24, 2010.
She was born Feb. 8, 1960, daughter of John and Marjorie Perry Smart.
Cindy graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1978 and attended IUPUI. She attended Old Union Church.
She retired from the Indiana National Guard after 21 years of service.
Cindy loved visiting with her family and friends. She enjoyed yard work, flower gardening and was a lover of all animals.
Surviving are sons, Zachary U. Caldwell and Nat T. Caldwell, both of Jamestown; significant other, Dan Caldwell; grandchild, Brodi Fox Caldwell; niece, Kacy Burkert, and numerous aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marjorie Smart and sister, Kathy Burkert.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Old Union Church, 5681 S. 500 W., Jamestown. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. with Pastor Tim Andreanopoulos officiating.
