— Mr. Joseph Ludlow, 83, formerly of Boone County, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010.
Mr. Ludlow was born Sept. 2, 1926, in Lebanon to Harry and Clara Ridgill Ludlow.
He had been a resident of Walton County since 1988, moving from Zionsville.
Mr. Ludlow was a veteran of World War II, serving his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Zionsville American Legion Post No. 79 for 34 years.
He worked as a Tank Truck Driver for the Shell Oil Company for 35 years before retiring.
Mr. Ludlow was Christian by faith.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, bingo, and being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, James, Gene and Jack.
Mr. Ludlow is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Frances Ludlow of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; one son, Randi (Theresa) Ludlow of Lebanon; one daughter, Rhonda Bundy of Tallahassee, Fla.; one brother, William (Jean) Ludlow Tallahassee; three grandchildren, Carly (Gilberto) Perez, Ryan Ludlow and Lindsey Musgrave, and Richard (Crystal) Ludlow; and 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Zionsville Chapel, 105 W. Pine St., Zionsville. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral center. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery in Whitestown, with military honors at graveside.
