Julia Ann Gwin

Mrs. Julia Ann Gwin, 84, of Lebanon, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at her residence.

Mrs. Gwin was born May 7, 1928, in Boone County, to the now late Steel and Elsie (Zenor) Campbell. She graduated from Thorntown High School in 1947.

She married Louis E. Gwin Jr. on Oct. 9, 1948, in Noblesville. He died April 8, 2010.

Mrs. Gwin worked for Indiana Bell in Indianapolis from 1948 to 1955, and then was a housewife.

She was known for her sense of humor, and her hobbies included ceramics.

Mrs. Gwin was a member of Sugar Plain Friends Church, Thorntown, and Indiana Bell Pioneers, Indianapolis.

Survivors include two sons, Tim (Stephanie Smith) Gwin of Lebanon and Pat (Lynn) Gwin of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Tasha (Tony) Deaver of Lebanon, Terry Gwin of Indianapolis and Joseph L. Gwin of Chicago; and great-grandchildren, Haley Deaver and Noah Deaver, both of Lebanon.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, 223 N. Meridian St., Lebanon. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the funeral home, with Larry Truitt officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Waugh.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
