Doris Louise McCormick

Doris Louise McCormick, 80, of Lebanon, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

Doris was born Feb. 21, 1932, in Boone County. She was the daughter of the late Clifford and Ruth (Goodin) Uhler. She was reared and educated in Boone County, where she graduated from Dover High School.

She married Paul Lee McCormick on Nov. 25, 1950, in Boone County. Mr. McCormick passed away Jan. 26, 1995.

Doris worked at the Bucket Factory and then at the Sears Catalog Store in Lebanon for over 25 years.

She was a member of the Pleasant View Church. She enjoyed camping with Good Sams Camping Club, watching sports on TV and working crossword puzzles.

Survivors include daughter, Debbie (Les) Goodnight of Lebanon; granddaughter, Casey (Craig) Reynolds of Lebanon; three great-grandchildren, McKenna Reynolds, Craig Reynolds II and Caleb Reynolds; sister-in-law, Mary Helen Uhler of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Uhler, Lyle Uhler and Richard Uhler; and a sister, Marjorie Tanselle.

Visitation is 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel of Memories, with Pastor Tom Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
