Wilburta M. Ottinger

Mrs. Wilburta M. Ottinger, 91, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation-Parkwood, in Lebanon.

Mrs. Ottinger was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Clinton County, a daughter of Russell and Susie (Boxwell) Ramsey. Both parents are deceased.

She married Francis Ottinger on July 1, 1939, in Clinton County. He died Nov. 21, 1990.

Mrs. Ottinger was a homemaker who helped her husband on the family farm. She also worked as a cook for Elizaville School for some time. Her hobbies included cooking, playing cards and genealogy, and she enjoyed her family.

She was a member of Elizaville Baptist Church and Clinton Township Home Ec.

Survivors include one son, Jim (Jane) Ottinger of Monticello; one daughter, Peggy (Joe) Arnett of New Palestine; son-in-law, Gary Bowen of Thorntown; brother, Sam (Bev) Ramsey of Lebanon; five sisters, Bonnie Smith of Indianapolis, Orpha Wyant of South Haven, Mich., Katie Coffman of Granbury, Texas, Martha McFarland of Lafayette and Mary Craig of West Lafayette; six grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susie Bowen, one sister and four brothers.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, 223 N. Meridian St., Lebanon. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the funeral home, with Steve McFarland officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon.
