Wandalee Irene Eggers

Wandalee Irene Eggers, 88, of North Salem, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 in Hendricks Regional Health.

She was born March 9, 1924, in Douglas County, Ill., daughter of the now late Hans J. and Irene A.D. (Rahn) Rahn.

Wandalee married Maynard Eugene Eggers in May 1946. He preceded her in death.

She attended Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Barnard.

Surviving are sons, Clarence “Sonny” Eugene Eggers, Daniel K. Eggers and Donald E. Eggers; daughters, Jo Ann Eggers, Linda Lou Eggers and Patricia K. Eggers-Moore; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Lee Eggers; sisters, Elvira (Rahn) Perry and Carmoletta (Rahn) Schroeder; and brothers, Earl G. Rahn, Clarence H. Rahn and LaDell L. Rahn.

Family and friends will gather from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 30, at the Porter Funeral Home, 315 W. Main St., North Salem. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at the funeral home, with Pastor Art Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Roachdale Cemetery, Roachdale.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
