Julia Ann Zimmerman

Mrs. Julia Ann Zimmerman, 68, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012, at her residence.  Diagnosed with breast cancer 17 years ago, Julia had an admirable recovery and fulfilling life as a cancer survivor. She was born on Dec. 28, 1943, in Lebanon, to the late Max Eugene and Geneva Jane (Ping) Reagan.  

Julia was a life-resident of Lebanon with the exception of two years that she spent with her first husband in the Air Force stationed in Bermuda and Louisiana. She was a 1962 graduate of Lebanon High School.

She was married in Lebanon on Nov. 22, 1961, to James Allen Maynard and they were divorced. On Dec. 24, 1998, in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., she married Terrill Gene Zimmerman and he survives.

Julia had many interests and spent time enjoying sewing and embroidery work. She also liked to paint in oils and pastels and was talented in various crafts. Gardening was a happy pastime and she enjoyed flowers. Her family was important and she liked to entertain them and was fond of all of her grandchildren.

For periods she was employed in Lebanon at the Milky Way and Kauffman Engineering. She worked a number of years for the Donaldsons at the Donaldson’s Finer Chocolates. For a number of years she was an Avon representative and remained active until this past March.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Terry G. Zimmerman of Lebanon; two daughters, Mrs. Kimberly A. Parda and husband, Joe, of Bunnlevel, N.C. and Mrs. Natalie J. Taylor and husband, Steven, of Moraine, Ohio; stepson Mr. Leslie E. Zimmerman and wife, Becky, of Clermont; 12 grandchildren, James W. Prickett and wife, Breezy, of Jacksonville, N.C., Dustin R. Prickett of West Palm Beach, Fla., Chad E. Prickett and fiancée, Ashley, of Sheridan; Alisha C. Mullins and husband, Brad, of Moraine, Stephanie M. Taylor and fiancé, Rick, of Moraine, Matthew J. Taylor and fiancée, Sara, of Moraine,  Emily M. Parda of Bunnlevel, N.C., Joseph Hunter Parda, of Bunnlevel, N.C., Carrie Zimmerman of Clermont, Ryan Fellers of Clermont, Lori Fellers of Clermont, and Christie Raisor and husband, Sam of Clermont; five great-grandchidren, Bryce Prickett of Jacksonville, N.C., Keaton E. Prickett of Sheridan, Jase M. Mullins of Moraine, Easton L. Mullins of Moraine, Kaylee E. R. Taylor of Moraine, and a number of cousins.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melissa Lee Maynard.

Funeral services are planned for noon Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, with Chaplain David Clayton officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012, from 10 a.m. to noon at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon.

Cremation will follow the service.
