Mr. Dustin Wayne “Dusty” Hodgin, 42, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at home.
Dusty was born in Lebanon, on Oct. 10, 1969. He was the son of David Larry Hodgin and Linda Jo Rodgers. He was raised in Zionsville, and attended Zionsville High School. He moved to Lebanon in the early 1990s.
For the past 10 years, Dusty worked as a chimney sweep for Chimney Sweeps of America in Lebanon.
He was a devoted, father, son and brother. Fond of the out-of-doors, Dusty enjoyed camping, fishing and boating with friends and family. He was well known for his kind and gentle heart.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Hodgin of Greenwood; two sons, Kyle and Cody Hodgin, both of Indianapolis; father, David L. Hodgin of Lebanon; mother, Linda J. (Sam) Rodgers of Lebanon; stepmother, Bernice A. Hodgin of Lebanon; brother, Steve (Rebecca) Hodgin of Lebanon; two half brothers, Travis Hodgin and Jeremy Ferguson, both of Lebanon; two half sisters, Shanda Hodgin and Tiffany Bailey, both of Lebanon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Charlene Hodgin, and Eugene and Esther Hill; and a brother, Douglas Scott Hodgin.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Myers Chapel of Memories, the pastors Robert and May Sapp officiating. Interment will take place at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown at a later date.
