Mrs. Charlotte Owens, 65, of Whitestown, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel.
Mrs. Owens was born Sept. 16, 1946, in Lebanon, to Gareth Scott and Zona Mae (Bennington) Scott. Both parents are deceased. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1964.
She married Lawrence Owens on Sept. 16, 1967, in Indianapolis; he survives.
She worked for the Indiana Department of Transportation in Indianapolis for 14 years, retiring in the late 1980s.
Mrs. Owens was a member of Northview Christian Church in Indianapolis.
Visitation is 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Powell Chapel in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gene Johnson officiating. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery.
