Mr. Stanley E. Corson, 67, of Nineveh, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at his residence.
Stanley was born Dec. 2, 1944, in Hamilton, Ohio, a son of the now late Stanley Lincoln and Mildred (Adams) Corson. Reared and educated in Hamilton, Stanley graduated from Hamilton High School.
He married Kitty Faye Brooks on July 30, 1965, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Mrs. Corson passed away Sept. 19, 2012.
Stanley was a district manager for retail stores and traveled around Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia and Tennessee. For the last 13 years, he was a corrections officer at Trumbull Correctional Institute in Newton Falls, Ohio. This past July, Stanley retired and moved to Brown County.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Stanley enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing.
Survivors include two children, Stanley L. (Yolanda) Corson II of Thorntown and Tammy F. Ferguson of Daleville; four grandchildren, Ryan Odell (Amanda) Stephens, Christopher C. Corson, Cassandra C. Corson and Stanley E. Corson II; two great-grandchildren, Payton and Michael Stephens; and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation is 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Myers Chapel of Memories, with Pastor Brent James officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
