Kurtis Michael Lewellen, 16, of Crawfordsville, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis. He was entering his junior year at Southmont High School.
Born Sept. 19, 1995, in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Michael W. Lewellen and Anita Harrison Stranger. At school he was a member of S.A.D.D. He also enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, attending the Iron Man, collecting cars and interacting with children.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Anita and James Stranger; father, Michael W. Lewellen; brother, Joshua M. Lewellen; sisters, Holli L. Harrison and Krystle Pruett; grandfather, Lewis Lewellen, and grandmother, Linda Sue Price.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ed and Ocie Harrison, Beverly Myers and Lee Price.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at Mace Methodist Church, 5581 U.S. 136 E, Crawfordsville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, led by Tami Mussche. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
