Anita Louise Gogan

— Mrs. Anita Louise Gogan, 67, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon.

Mrs. Gogan was born Jan. 22, 1945, in Lebanon. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Calvin and Mary Almeda (Quick) Roth. She was reared and educated in the Fairview Community, and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1963.

She married John Michael Gogan on Oct. 16, 1966, in Boone County. Mr. Gogan passed away on Oct. 17, 2007.

Mrs. Gogan worked as a secretary for several companies including Farm Bureau Insurance in Indianapolis, Office of Equal Opportunity in Maryland, and the First United Methodist Church in Valparaiso. She also worked at Jackson McCormick in Lebanon for a period of time, doing data entry.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her hobbies included reading, ceramics and watching television.

Mrs. Gogan was a member of Fairview Congregational Christian Church in Boone County.

Survivors include one daughter, Christine L. (Brian) Poole of Kirklin; two grandchildren, Clinton R. Poole and Nicholas A. Poole, both of Kirklin; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Roth of Bloomington and Thelma Roth of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Calvin Roth and George Alan Roth, and a sister, Jayne Ellen Roth.

Visitation is 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery, 935 E. Washington St., Lebanon, with the Rev. Fred Tanselle officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
