Frankfort — Joyce Ann Russell Royer, 62, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012.
Joyce was born on March 9, 1950, in Frankfort, the daughter of Kenneth and Irene Kennedy Russell.
She was a 1968 graduate of Clinton Central, and she attended the Business College of Kokomo. Joyce married David C. Royer on Aug. 13, 1977; he survives.
She lived in Clinton County most of her life. Joyce worked for 13 years as the utility service auditor for the city of Frankfort and eight years in the billing office utilities. Joyce was an Area 4 coordinator of the Special Olympics for two years and actively supported the Special Olympics.
She is survived by her mother; a son, Gordon Scott (Jennifer) Royer of Frankfort; a grandson, Dakota; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Dale Russell.
Visitation for Joyce will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the funeral home with celebrant Chad Douglass officiating. Burial will follow in Mounts Runn Cemetery in Whitestown.
